I think it’s about to get a lot weirder at work when it comes to technology.
With the introduction of the Apple Watch I think we’re about to start seeing it get a lot easier to capture audio and video without being conspicuous. And given how much competition exists between companies, and how attractive secrets seem to be to the public, we’re going to start seeing sensitive internal information leaked out to the world.
It’s true that many of these recordings will be easy to tie to the person who did the recording, but many will not. And even those that are tied back could be so devastating as to grant whistleblower status to the leaker.
Expect to see companies in certain industries implement no-tech meetings, and/or fitting meeting rooms with recording disruption technologies.
If I were an investor or an inventor, I’d be looking at this space carefully.
