Escape character is '^]'. 220 some.where AppleShare IP Mail Server 5.0.3 SMTP Server Ready HELO XXXXXXXXXXX[....several hundered of these....]XXXXXXXX [ and it just hangs ] $ ping some.where [ ...nothing... ]
